Few symbols of New York are as iconic as the world famous Apollo Theater. Every year the Apollo, a nonprofit organization, holds its Spring Benefit, as its primary fundraising event. Entertainers are honored and audiences are given a night filled with some classic Apollo entertainment.

Our collaboration involved immersing ourselves in the history of the Apollo Theater in order to create three videos honoring the legacy and future of the Apollo, a tribute to James Brown, and a tribute to Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon. We produced, directed, and edited the videos including interviews with the late Honorable Percy Sutton, Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Dick Parsons (Chairman of the Board of CitiGroup), and Jonelle Procope (President and CEO of the Apollo Theater Foundation), and a host of other celebrities.
